- 19th October 2014 - Our annual UTP CONVOFAIR had been held in
Universiti Teknologi Petronas (UTP) in conjunction with the Convocation

The main
purpose of having a CONVOFAIR is to attract the family members of UTP students
to come and visit UTP as well as providing platform to conduct their personal
family day to strengthen the bonds among each family member. This year, more than
thousands of family had come to celebrate this annual event.
During
these four days event, up to 60 booths were set up mainly food stalls, clothes
stalls, PETRONAS merchandise stall, games and activities, and many more. There
were variety of local food such as laksa,
curry mee, ayam madu, burgers, fried
rice, claypot mee, nasi lemak and so on. For games and activities, there were
FIFA 15, The King of Guitar Hero, water ball, water boat, inflatable castle,
wall climbing, water futsal and many more. Congratulations to Ahmad Syahiran
who had won the title of “King of Fifa 15”. There were also exhibitions
displaying antics vehicles.
At night,
UTP students entertained the guests with performances. The performances include
UTP Chinese Orchestra, Malay Dance, our most favourite dance - Bhangra Dance,
Silat Melayu, International Dance, Rock Songs, Taekwondo, Caklempong, Gamelan
and so on. The performances were splendid as proven from the big applaud by the
audience after watching it.
On the last
day of this event, a special talk, titled “Tentang Cinta” had been given by
Ustaz Kazim Elias, who is a very famous religious icon in Perak. The talk was
attended by many elderly and young people.
CONVOFAIR
this year was a successful one and for that, we express gratitude to the
committees of CONVOFAIR for the effort and commitment.
