Seminar Room 4, 11 December 2015 - Around 30 students gathered to listen, read, speak even rap and sing about their experiences, emotions and opinions. “Safe Place” was the first event organised by UTP Networking HUB (NETHUB), the newest member to the family of clubs and societies here on campus.  This event is also UTP's first slam poetry and spoken word event. In a dark room filled with pillows and seats arranged in a U-Shape, eloquent and beautiful prose and poetry characterized the flow of the evening.  The themes varied from social relationships and feminism to depression and dreams. The speakers caused goosebumps, touched the audiences’ hearts and even induced tears and laughs. Members of the audience say that to them the event was a resounding success and one that both inspired and entertained them very much.
